Today, we are excited to introduce Kristine, a new marketing intern at Kairos Design! Kristine is a rising senior at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is currently majoring in marketing and minoring in international business. This fall, she will be attending Yonsei University in South Korea! There she will be studying business administration as well as gaining a wide range of experience for her minor. After graduation, Kristine hopes to continue working with digital marketing.
What will you be doing at Kairos Design?
I will be working as a Marketing Intern! Currently I have been working with social media marketing. So far I’ve created and scheduled social media posts for Kairos and andKairos. I am also learning to write blogs, similar to this one! I hope I can continue to help Kairos’ social media presence grow.
What are you most looking forward to?
I am looking forward to learning more technical skill sets when it comes to marketing, as well as different kinds of marketing. In many of my courses in college so far, we have used very basic, traditional marketing tactics, or theoretical ways to explain marketing, so it is very interesting to see what marketing professionals are doing to reach their target audience along with potential customers. It is truly amazing to learn about various forms of marketing used here at Kairos and the work that goes behind just a single post.
Tell us about what inspires you!
My parents inspire me the most! They have always worked so hard in order to provide for me, no matter how tough it got. I want to be able to do things that make them proud of me. In addition to my parents, I am greatly inspired by the forms of media I come across. I am inspired by art across a broad spectrum, whether that be graphic design, music, fashion, or anything else I find intriguing.

Some movies I would recommend are Minari, Spirited Away, and Okja

Share with us any interesting projects/side hustle you’re working on!
Outside of Kairos Design, a couple projects I would like to work on are music and video editing. I have been trying to learn how to record and make music. I am still a beginner, so I’m hoping I can improve with practice and time. I enjoy creating videos that my friends enjoy, so I’m looking forward to working on more this summer! Over the summer I’m also hoping to improve my video editing skills for my own benefit and professional future.
In any organization, it’s important to have a strong team, and we are fortunate to have Kristine as part of ours. Her passion and curiosity have been a great addition to our team, and we look forward to continue working with her in the future.
