The Kairos Team: Our 2021 New Year’s Resolutions 1500 820 Julianna Rice

For better or worse, 2020 was a year to remember. Check out our team members’ recaps of their years, and their goals for 2021!

Sean Kim, Creative Director

So Sean, what was your biggest accomplishment of 2020?

Launching multiple projects, including OE Acronyms in partnership with OphthalmicEdge, and streamlining our workflow process for our popular SEO service, just to name a few. However, the biggest accomplishment would be going through the COVID-19 crisis while sustaining business with the help of our wonderful teammates and clients.

What are your goals for 2021?

Creating productized services on what we’re currently offering such as brand voice workshop. Also, partnering with creatives and other companies to create a community and something meaningful for the world.

Do you have any New Years’ Resolutions for 2021?

I would like to read one book per each month on either business or design. To reuse last year’s resolution, I really want to spend at least 20min per day working out. If anyone’s actually reading this, reach out and ask how I’m doing on my 20 min workout goal and I’ll give you honest answer. If my answer is no, I’ll buy you a coffee. 🤞

What was your biggest accomplishment of 2020?

Staying sane, of course!

On a more realistic note, I think maintaining relationships has been both my biggest accomplishment and my personal sanity-saver. In a pre-COVID life, it was hard to call every single person that I care about on a consistent basis. Now that life has slowed down significantly, I feel like I’m always on the phone! Grandparents, parents, siblings, uncles, aunts, cousins, college roommates, old besties from middle school, my good friends – I know what’s going on with everyone!

What are your goals for 2021?

I don’t think 2021 will be the year that all of my big plans gloriously come into existence. But I do think it’ll be a great year to continue to develop those personal relationships! So that’s going to be my big goal. Of course, if all of my dreams just happen to come true, then I won’t be upset!

Do you have any New Years’ Resolutions for 2021?

My New Years’ resolution last year was to develop a morning routine… and I failed miserably! So I’m going to try again this year. Waking up at a reasonable hour, getting my workouts in early, planning my day, and maybe even some light reading. Although, I’d probably settle for just waking up after the first alarm goes off. 😉

What are your goals for 2021?

I am satisfied with the technology whatever I learned. But this year I would love to learn more advanced technology, and with that technology, I would like to develop my own product.

What was your biggest accomplishment of 2020?

Getting 3rd place in a New Jersey Young Playwrights Competition!

What are your goals for 2021?

To practice more gratitude, commit to a college, and spend quality time with friends and family (once it’s safe of course).

Do you have any New Years’ Resolutions for 2021?

I hope to not fixate as much on achieving perfection in my schoolwork and writing, and I also want to make more time to read (I’m open to any book suggestions!).

What was your biggest accomplishment of 2020?

Going from volunteer to cofounder at a grassroots charity organization called PPE Relief Initiative (PRI)! Our mission there is to protect healthcare workers in NY & NJ from COVID-19 by equipping them with free kits of medical-grade PPE.

2020 was a tough, overwhelming year for so many of us. For those of us who were in fortunate enough positions to do so, it was also a “roll up your sleeves” year for speaking out and acting on important causes.

I feel endlessly grateful to my talented colleagues at Kairos for their encouragement and support throughout every step of my journey to this day. I also feel so thankful to Kairos for shaping the branding and marketing skills that I use now to make an impact through PRI.

What are your goals for 2021?

Going past my comfort zone, personally, creatively & professionally.

Do you have any New Years’ Resolutions for 2021?

Kick off 2021 the right way with the charity virtual run that I’m coordinating — my first run in ages! Stay inspired with my paints and clay, and invent new ways to create memories with my friends and family (virtually, until things go back to normal). And lastly, find the balance, as a good friend likes to say!
