What will you be doing at Kairos Design?

I’m excited to start as a marketing assistant out of the Dallas office with the creative director, Sean Kim. I’m grateful for the trust and opportunity to work with Kairos!

What are you most looking forward to?

I’m excited to get a bird’s eye view of the Kairos process – each client has a customized marketing plan, unique to their business. I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn to create these unique marketing plans, and then how to implement and maintain them.

That being said, I’m mostly looking forward to the content creation. I’m happiest when I’m creating fun, informative pieces. I also really enjoy working with small businesses and small business owners, so the opportunity to create beneficial content while also understanding how and why it will be implemented within the marketing plan as a whole is an exciting experience!

Tell us what inspires you?

I’m a big believer in drawing inspiration from my surroundings, and I’ve surrounded myself with wonderful friends – they’re always working towards their goals and supporting each other, and there’s a lot of beauty in that!

I also take a lot of inspiration from my family – in particular, my younger siblings. Their enthusiasm and drive always gives me renewed energy!

Can you recommend any podcasts, websites, books or music?

I can ALWAYS recommend a good book. I recently read A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman, and I definitely recommend it for a Sunday afternoon with a cup of tea and a warm blanket (and a few tissues).

If you’re interested in supporting small artists, I recommend shopping on Society6. Independent artists submit their designs to the site, and you can purchase those designs on a variety of products. It always makes for a unique gift!

Share with us any interesting projects you’re working on!

I have a few projects I’m working on, but there are two that I’m very excited about! I’m writing a short story about a young man living in the city, but it’s told from the point of view of his apathetic cat. It’s a dark comedy, but I’m having a lot of fun working on it!

I’m also working on a website to showcase independent artists’ work, from poetry to art to small fashion designers. It’s a work in progress, but I want to bring more attention to the artists within my community, and it’s a fun way to meet interesting people and promote their work.
